Massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake rocks Burma, Thailand causing buildings to collapse

An aftershock 12 minutes later was reported to have been 6.4 magnitude

 

A massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Burma (Myanmar) and Thailand Friday, causing buildings to collapse as people scrambled for safety. 

 

The massive earthquake shook almost every region of the country and aftershocks were reportedly felt in India and China. The extent of the injuries and possibly fatalities is unclear at this time. 

 

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the aftershock to have been 6.4 magnitude. People in Bangkok evacuated from their buildings were cautioned to stay outside in case there were more.
